The Meeting

What a great first meeting! We were 30 minutes early. We were so excited and hoped we could get things going earlier than scheduled. No dice! So we waited at the SWS until 1:30. We jumped in a van for  a 40 minute ride to his apartment. He and his foster family live in a town outside of Seoul.  When we pulled up, our Social Worker, Ms. Bang, told us he was waiting for us on the balcony. We didn't see him but it was pretty cool to know he was expecting us.  Everything seemed to move really fast from that point. When the door to the apartment opened, we saw this little man with big, dark eyes looking up at us. We all took our shoes off and went into the apartment. We brought out the toys we brought for him and he started playing with them right away. We were surprising calm. By the end of the visit he was pulling my hair and throwing his toys at us. He is a happy boy and loves his foster mother. She is a very kind woman and we are thankful for the way she has taken care of him. Leaving him was hard but the best for him right now. We will see him again tomorrow at 10:00AM for a hour and we will get to bring him with us on Thursday at 11:00AM and then begins our new life with him. We are very thankful for everyone at CHSFS and Rainbow Kids for making this adoption possible. To all our friends and family, we love you very much and can't wait for you to lay your eyes on this little guy. Oh by the way, there isn't much that's little about him. He's a BIG boy! We are so excited! Everything we brought (diapers, clothes, shoes) is too small. We are going to have a great time shopping!  We'll check back soon, enjoy these pictures.
